We test drove the latest electric crossover in the Blazer EV this week, and took a deeper look at how our editorial judges are assessing the merits of each of the nine finalists for The Car Connection Best Car To Buy 2024 award. We also addressed the 2024 model year changes to some of the biggest and most luxurious three-row SUVs on the market.

2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV review
A high-performance Blazer SS version, multiple drive configurations, two battery packs, and an estimated range of up to 324 miles mean the electric Blazer offers something for everyone. It earns a TCC Rating of 7.4 out of 10.
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class review
A capable and capacious SUV, the 2024 GLS-Class posts a 7.2 out of 10 on the TCC scale for its breathtaking performance, sumptuous comfort, and family roominess.
The short review: The 2-Series could be a coupe or a sedan that BMW markets as Gran Coupe; get the actual coupe for the TCC Rating of 6.5 out of 10. The M2 rates even higher. The entry-level Gran Coupe? Not so much.
The Lexus LX delivers a big cabin with plenty of features, a smooth ride, and character to spare. It’s good for a TCC Rating of 6.4 out of 10.
2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Class review
Brawny, boxy, and brisk, the 2024 G-Wagen is unlike any other SUV you’re likely to encounter. It’s a 6.2 out of 10.
2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport
While not the best choice in its segment, the Discovery Sport has a classy look and lots of features for the money. It earns a TCC Rating of 6.0 out of 10.
The Nissan Armada full-size SUV temps with relatively affordable pricing and a comfortable cabin, but it’s heavy, heaving, thirsty, and rated at 5.6 out of 10.
Powerful engine options back up the promise of the 2024 Lexus RC’s brash looks and composed handling, but coupe compromises limit it to a TCC Rating of 5.6 out of 10.
