2025 Audi A3 now with standard AWD, $39,495 base price

  • The 2025 Audi A3 introduces a mid-cycle refresh for the compact sedan
  • The 2025 A3 costs more than the 2024 model, but more standard features are included
  • In other markets a high-riding A3 Allstreet hatchback has been added

Audi in March revealed a mid-cycle refresh for the A3 and the updated compact sedan is now available to order in the U.S.

It arrives as a 2025 model and is priced to start at $39,495, including a $1,295 destination charge.

That represents a substantial increase on the 2024 A3’s starting price of $36,895, though the 2025 model includes all-wheel drive as standard. Adding the feature on the 2024 A3 brought the starting price up to $38,895.

Other changes for 2025 include new fascia designs, the addition of a frameless front grille, and new internals for the LED head and taillights. Two new wheel patterns and four new exterior paint options (Arkona White, Arrow Gray pearl effect, Progressive Red metallic, and District Green metallic) have also made the cut.

For the interior, designers added new details for the gear shifter and air vents, and added new options for the trim and dash accents. More standard items have also been added, including a multi-function steering wheel trimmed in leather, an ambient lighting package, and a bigger digital screen for the gauge cluster (10.3 inches). The infotainment system features a 10.1-inch screen as standard.

Available features include a wireless phone charger, door panel lighting options, and multiple offers found in the Audi App store. Like on a smartphone, the app store enables owners to download and install apps directly to the vehicle. A surround-view camera system is planned but not yet available.

There’s just the one powertrain in the 2025 A3, a 2.0-liter turbo-4 rated 201 hp. It comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Buyers seeking more performance can opt for S3 and RS 3 models, which for 2025 deliver 328 and 400 hp respectively.

In other markets, Audi has also added a soft-roader model based on the A3 Sportback hatch (also not available in the U.S.). It’s called the A3 Allstreet, and it features an extra 0.6 inches of ride height, plus a slightly raised seating position that Audi said makes ingress and egress easier.
