2025 Ford Bronco Sport upgrades tech, starts at $31,590

  • Refreshed 2025 Ford Bronco Sport costs $200 more to $31,590
  • Standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 13.2-inch touchscreen
  • New Sasquatch off-road package steps the baby Bronco closer to the big Bronco

The refreshed 2025 Ford Bronco Sport rolls into the new year with a standard 13.2-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch touchscreen, along with a $200 price increase from the 2024 Ford Bronco Sport. The compact crossover in base Big Bend trim starts at $31,590, including a $1,595 destination fee.

Also new for 2025 is an available Sasquatch off-road package borrowed from the larger Bronco, the Bigfoot of Ford’s off-road family. It’s similar in nature, if not quite in equipment. For instance, both have 17-inch carbonized alloy wheels, but 29-inch Goodyear Territory All-Terrain tires (235/65/R17) not 35-inch mud terrain tires fill the Bronco Sport’s smaller wells.

Ford bolts on five steel skid plates under the body of the Bronco Sport Sasquatch, which sits 0.6 inches higher than the Bronco Sport Badlands to 8.8 inches. The modular bumpers designed to accommodate off-road accessories have an approach angle of up to 31.2 degrees (30.0 on Badlands without the Sasquatch package) and a departure angle of 27.9 degrees (26.7 standard on Badlands). Twin front fender tie-downs pop out of each fender near the front doors and can support strapping down 150 pounds of gear on the roof from each side. Four auxiliary switches on the inside roof activate any of the many accessories offered by Ford, which can be bolted on to an accessory bar that anchors the front bash plate and two integrated tow hooks. In back, the raised rear bumper has recovery D-rings and a standard tow hitch flexing an uprated towing capacity from 2,200 to 2,700 pounds on the Badlands grade.

The Sasquatch can mount either the Outer Banks model and its turbocharged 1.5-liter 3-cylinder, which carries over with 181-hp and 190 lb-ft of torque, or the Badlands and its carryover 2.0-liter turbo-4 rated at 250 hp and 277 lb-ft (with premium fuel). The upgrades make it a more capable off-roader than the Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness and could be better than the Jeep Compass Trailhawk.

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks costs $36,580, while the Sasquatch costs another $3,535. It must be paired with the Tech Package, however, so the total price for the Sasquatch Package is $5,230, bringing the Outer Banks Sasquatch to $41,810

The 2025 Badlands costs $41,590, and the Sasquatch adds $2,990 to bring the price to $44,580. Seems like Ford wants Bronco Sport Sasquatch shoppers in a Badlands.

The Badlands Sasquatch gets a larger cooling fan, from 650 watts to 850 watts, to let it run faster, longer, and harder in Rally mode. The Outer Banks Sasquatch gets the Badlands’ twin-clutch rear-drive unit and locking rear differential for the first time.

The Sasquatch gets more nimble on its rear legs, too. MacPherson struts remain up front, but the independent rear suspension is now supplemented by Bilstein shocks with passive damping that should help to modulate rebound and compression on the whoops and whatnots off-roading while still retaining its crossover-like ride on pavement, we’re told.

A Black Diamond package on Big Bend models adds the look of the Sasquatch but without the Bilstiens or the rear locker.

Ford has not announced pricing on the package, though it will arrive later than the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport expected to arrive at dealers by the end of the year. That Big Bend base model costs $31,590, and arrives with a standard 13.2-inch touchscreen that can be paired with an available surround-view camera system to show everything that’s around the Bronco Sport and Sasquatch models have an off-road version that shows what’s down by the front wheels. It activates in off-road mode and shuts off when you go over 20 mph.

A larger 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster showcases the five drive mode differences (seven on Badlands and Sasquatches) as well as pitch and roll meters and other vehicle info.

The Sasquatch Package is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2025, but it can be ordered now.
