2025 Ford F-150 receives some price cuts, starts at $40,705

Ford’s bestselling F-150 full-size pickup truck receives minor changes for the 2025 model year, including some removal of standard equipment on certain trim levels in exchange for lower starting prices. Ford also rolls out BlueCruise 1.4 and expands the availability of the latest iteration of its limited hands-free driving system.

The base F-150 XL grade starts at $40,705 with a $1,995 destination charge. It comes standard with a 12.0-inch infotainment display and the expected array of driver aids, but otherwise keeps things basic.

The $44,910 STX grade is $1,185 lower than the equivalent 2024 model thanks to a newly standard 200B package that trades 20-inch wheels for 18-inch wheels and removes the previously-standard LED fog lamps and zone lighting.

XLT models now start at $47,590 with a new standard 300A package that lowers the price by $2,235 from the 2024 model year. The 300A package also eliminates previously-standard chrome accents, running boards, dual-zone climate control, and the leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Lariat models are also $2,235 cheaper than 2024 at $65,255. The new 500A package makes 18-inch wheels standard instead of the previous 20-inch rolling stock and eliminates the power-sliding rear window.

No significant changes were made to the more luxurious King Ranch and Platinum grades, which both start at $76,800. Tremor and Raptor off-road models also return, priced at $66,810 and $80,900, respectively.

The available BlueCruise system allows for hands-free driving on mapped stretches of highway, reaching Level 2 on the Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE) scale. BlueCruise version 1.4 provides smoother operation and should allow for longer periods between hands-on interventions, according to Ford. It’s optional on XLT models, comes with a 90-day trial on Tremor and Lariat models, and one year is included on King Ranch and Platinum models.

The F-150 continues with 2.7-liter turbocharged V-6, 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6, a hybrid powertrain, and 5.0-liter V-8 options for most models. Raptor models get a more powerful version of the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6, while the Raptor R has a 5.2-liter supercharged V-8. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard with all of these engines, with standard rear-wheel drive and optional four-wheel drive on most grades.

The 2025 Ford F-150 is available to order now.
