2025 Genesis G80 sedan costs $2,700 more, to $58,350

The 2025 Genesis G80 midsize sedan rolls into the new year with a glow-up and a price bump, Genesis announced Friday. New ends complement a remapped dashboard that accommodates a single 27.0-inch OLED display with new interfaces. The base 2025 G80 2.5T AWD costs $58,350, including a $1,250 destination fee. That’s $2,700 more than the 2024 Genesis G80.

The standard 20-inch wheels flash new fan-blade designs, the crest-shaped grille stretches into new headlight designs bisected by two orange lights, and the lower grille appears more pronounced, curled up with larger air intakes.

The interior follows the changes to the refreshed 2025 GV80 crossover SUV. The touchscreen portion of the curved display reaches to the passenger’s side of the console, and below the touchscreen is a haptic climate control panel. The circular gear shifter and knurled controller for the touchscreen remain in the wood-paneled console.  

Even with the price increase, the 2025 Genesis G80 is a loaded luxury value. Standard and unintrusive safety features include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitors, active lane control, adaptive cruise control capable of a full stop, a safe exit monitor, automatic high-beam headlights, and limited hands-free highway driving.

Standard convenience features include 12-way power front seats, heated front and rear seats, 12-speaker audio, four USB-C ports, ambient lighting, rain-sensing wipers, synthetic leather upholstery, power-folding side mirrors, and it rolls on new 18-inch wheels. The infotainment is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but it still requires a wired connection, which is disappointing on a car as nice as the G80 (we’re basing this on the same trim walk as the 2025 GV80). 

The powertrains carry over, as does standard all-wheel drive, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and an independent suspension. 2025 G80 2.5T models use a 2.5-liter turbo-4 rated at 300-hp and 311 lb-ft of torque.

The $63,150 G80 2.5T Advanced upgrades to 19-inch wheels and adds tri-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, cooled front seats, wood trim, and Bang & Olufsen audio. 

The 2.5T Sport Prestige costs $69,600 and adds adaptive damping, blind-spot cameras, automatic parking, 20-inch alloy wheels, a wireless smartphone charger, leather upholstery, massaging front seats, and a surround-view camera system.

The 3.5T models use a joyful 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 that makes 375 hp and 391 lb-ft. The 3.5T Sport Advanced builds off the 2.5T Advanced but costs $70,850, so it’s about $7,000 more for the bigger engine.

The $78,250 G80 3.5T Sport Prestige adds carbon fiber trim, a Sport+ mode, rear-axle steering, and electronically limited-slip rear differential, bigger brakes, a head-up display, and a sport-tuned suspension. 

The 2025 Genesis G80 goes on sale next month.
