The USMA Time Capsule is a metal box that was buried in the West Point cemetery in 1904. It is scheduled to be opened in 2042, on the 250th anniversary of the founding of the academy.

The capsule was buried on May 20, 1904, during the academy's annual alumni reunion.

The capsule is made of copper and is about the size of a shoebox

The capsule is sealed with lead and is buried about 10 feet underground.
