The Gators are coming off a disappointing 6-7 season in 2022.

They will be led by new head coach Billy Napier, who was hired away from Louisiana after leading the Ragin' Cajuns to a 10-3 record in 2022.

Napier has brought in a number of new recruits, including five-star quarterback Anthony Richardson.

The Gators also have a number of experienced players returning, including running back Malik Davis and wide receiver Justin Shorter.

The Gators will be playing in the SEC East, which is one of the toughest divisions in college football.

Their biggest rivals in the SEC East are Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

The Gators will open the season against Utah in Gainesville on September 3.

They will also play against LSU, Alabama, and Texas A&M in conference play.

The Gators are hoping to make a bowl game in 2023, but they will need to improve their defense if they want to compete for a conference title.
