Adani Airports Holdings Ltd (AAHL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, has announced the launch of ‘aviio,’ a new digital platform designed to transform airport operations and enhance the passenger experience. Aviio is India’s first real-time, total airport management system aimed at creating seamless, data-driven airport journeys by improving coordination between airport stakeholders.

By enabling airport stakeholders with access to real-time data, passengers can expect easier access to airport information in the form of updates related to security checks, wait times, gate change and bags on belt, among other aspects.

The aviio platform will empower stakeholders, including airlines, ground handlers, retail staff, and CISF personnel, with real-time data, providing passengers with up-to-date information on security checks, gate changes, baggage handling, and more. With seven operational airports in its stable, and one more expected to go live during the middle of 2025, this platform for B2B services has been conceptualised and curated to meet AAHL’s unique need to manage airports at scale.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has granted an operating licence to Rewa Airport in Madhya Pradesh, enhancing economic and regional connectivity. This new airport will improve access to cultural and historical sites, boost trade, employment, and tourism in the Vindhya region. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav highlighted its significance for regional development.

According to Arun Bansal, CEO, AAHL, “Aviio is designed to transform stakeholder collaboration, ensuring real-time resource management and improved capacity planning across our airports. The platform’s real impact will be on the passenger experience, making airport transit faster and smoother.” The platform, part of AAHL’s broader digital transformation efforts, integrates advanced technologies like AI, IoT, Robotics, and Digital Twins. This investment positions AAHL as a leader in next-generation airport management, aiming to provide a future-ready, smart airport ecosystem. Aviio’s launch marks a significant step in AAHL’s journey toward enhancing operational efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, with plans for multi-airport governance in the near future.

AAHL’s ‘Airport-in-a-Box’ model, which forms the core of aviio, enables it to manage airports at scale and set a global benchmark for airport operations, elevating India’s aviation sector to new heights.
