Air India to fly its new A350 on Delhi-Dubai route from May 1, ET TravelWorld

Air India has unveiled its plans to introduce its state-of-the-art A350 aircraft on the bustling Delhi-Dubai route from May 1, heralding the aircraft’s debut on short-haul international flights.

Passengers traveling between Delhi and Dubai with Air India starting May 1, 2024, will have the opportunity to experience the luxurious A350 in its striking new livery. Operating as flight AI995/996, the aircraft will depart from Delhi daily at 20:45hrs, landing in Dubai at 22:45hrs. The return journey from Dubai will take off at 00:15hrs and reach Delhi at 04:55hrs the next day, all timings local.

This move establishes Air India as the exclusive carrier operating the A350 on the India-Dubai route, offering passengers a cutting-edge travel experience. The A350’s seats on the Delhi-Dubai route are now open for booking through Air India’s website, mobile app, or authorized travel agents.

Air India’s A350 aircraft boast 28 private suites with full-flat beds in Business Class, 24 seats in a dedicated Premium Economy cabin offering extra legroom and premium amenities, and 264 spacious seats in Economy Class. Passengers across all classes will enjoy the latest Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment system with HD screens, providing access to over 2,200 hours of entertainment content from around the globe.

The deployment of A350s by Air India began earlier this year, initially serving domestic routes for crew training and regulatory compliance.

Currently, Air India operates a total of 72 weekly flights to Dubai from five Indian cities, including 32 flights from Delhi.

A member of Star Alliance, the largest global airline consortium of leading international airlines, Air India offers seamless connectivity and facilities to passengers all over the world.

The airline is set to commence daily flights between Mumbai and Prayagraj from May 25, 2024, enhancing connectivity and accessibility between these key cities. This development reinforces Akasa Air’s commitment to strengthening its presence in North India, with Prayagraj being the fourth city in Uttar Pradesh to join its network.
