Akasa Air, India’s rapidly growing airline, is set to broaden its international footprint with the addition of Jeddah as its second global destination. Beginning July 15, 2024, Akasa Air will launch daily non-stop flights connecting Jeddah with Mumbai, further ramping up this service to 12 direct flights per week from July 21, 2024. Alongside this, the airline will initiate twice-weekly direct flights linking Jeddah with Ahmedabad from July 20, 2024.
Jeddah, a vibrant city in Saudi Arabia renowned for its rich heritage, culinary delights, and scenic coastal allure, stands as an enticing destination for travellers across various segments. The strategic introduction of these flights aims to cater to the growing demand for seamless connectivity between India and Jeddah, fostering tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges.

The launch of direct flights between Jeddah and key Indian cities aligns with the surge in travel demand witnessed between India and Saudi Arabia, particularly in 2023, reflecting the growing ties and opportunities between the two nations.With its upcoming ventures to Kuwait, Riyadh, and other international destinations, the airline is poised to further solidify its position as a leading player in the aviation industry.
In addition to its regular flight schedule, Akasa Air will operate special flights between Mumbai and Jeddah in June 2024, aimed at providing more travel options during peak seasons and easing the route’s demand. Flight bookings for these services are now available through Akasa Air’s official website, mobile apps, and authorised travel partners.
