Arabian Travel Market 2026 Postponed to August Amid West Asia Tensions, ETTravelWorld

Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2026, one of the global travel industry’s largest trade events, has been postponed to August amid prevailing geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

Organisers confirmed that the event, originally scheduled to be held from May 4–7, 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will now take place from August 17–20, 2026 at the same venue.

The decision comes as regional uncertainties impact travel sentiment and participation planning, prompting organisers to prioritise safety and ensure stronger global attendance.

In an official statement, organiser RX said the rescheduling aims to provide greater confidence and flexibility to exhibitors, partners and attendees from across international markets.

Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, Arabian Travel Market, said the move reflects a cautious approach in the current environment. “The safety and well-being of our customers, partners and colleagues remains our highest priority, and the decision to reschedule ATM 2026 to August reflects our commitment to ensuring that everyone can participate,” she said.

ATM, now in its 33rd edition, serves as a key global platform connecting destinations, airlines, hospitality brands, tourism boards and travel technology providers. The event typically attracts tens of thousands of industry professionals from over 150 countries, making it a critical networking and deal-making hub for the global travel ecosystem.

Industry stakeholders note that large-scale international travel events are particularly sensitive to geopolitical developments, given their reliance on cross-border participation, long-haul travel planning and business confidence.

The postponement is expected to have a ripple effect on travel trade calendars, especially for stakeholders across the Middle East, Europe and Asia who rely on ATM as a key platform for partnerships, product launches and market positioning.

Organisers said they will work closely with exhibitors and partners to ensure a smooth transition to the revised dates, while maintaining the event’s role as a major global meeting point for the travel and tourism industry.
