Buy This Very Miami Porsche, Support a Good Charity

You’d never accuse me of any sort of sartorial sophistication (even at track days I’m underdressed, usually donning frumpy hiking boots), so let’s ignore the handbags here and focus on what’s important: eBay’s auctioning off this hyper-crisp Porsche 911 to benefit vitiligo research via the aptly named Vitiligo Support International (VSI).

Bidding has already begun here on eBay. We don’t often post auction links, unless the auction subject is particularly rare or endowed with a notable provenance. But this tastefully modded Porsche 911 is a bit of a special case: 100 percent of the proceeds of the auction will be donated to VRI, and that’s a message worth amplifying.

In addition to the feel-good factor, this 964 is a bit of a tasty one. The odometer reads just 27,000 miles and there’s a crispness to the body panels and interior that you really only see on these time-capsule 911s. Just like that old Mosin Nagant you bought from surplus stock, the ad notes original cosmoline coating the underside of this Porsche. A small stone chip shows as the lone visual demerit. 

But, being an eBay car, there are a few aftermarket touches worth noting: There’s a Fabspeed exhaust out back, with active struts up front from Koni. Corbeau buckets replace the standard Porsche seats (which never really offered enough lateral support for my hide) and there’s a perfect little MOMO steering wheel acting as a bit of frosting on the build. Finally, a set of the spectacular Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All-Seasons, recently reviewed on the C7 Corvette by our own Chris perkins. 

Those tires wrap around an all-important aesthetic touch, that being color-matched 964 Cup wheels, which are the GOAT option for this 911 chassis (and I will not entertain any dissent in this matter). White-on-white is very Miami, which ties into this auction’s launch ahead of Formula 1’s Miami GP this weekend. 

Whether or not you care about the connection to fashion or the racing, if there’s a tastefully modded-964-sized hole that’s burning into your wallet, this auction is definitely worth a look. When this 964 shows up in your driveway, simply explain to your partner’s furrowed brow, “It’s for charity!”
