Delhi Airport launches E-Arrival Card facility for foreign travellers, ETTravelWorld

Delhi International Airport, operated by GMR Airports, has announced the launch of an E-Arrival Card facility for foreign travellers from October 1, 2025. Implemented under the aegis of the Bureau of Immigration, the new system aligns with the government’s Digital India vision to simplify and digitise passenger processes.

The facility enables international passengers to fill in their arrival details online through secure platforms, eliminating the need for paper-based arrival cards. This transition is expected to reduce processing time at immigration counters, cut down queues, and enhance overall efficiency. In addition, the move supports Delhi Airport’s sustainability goals by significantly reducing paper usage.

The digital service can be accessed via the Bureau of Immigration’s website (https://boi.gov.in), the Indian Visa portal (https://indianvisaonline.gov.in), the “Su-Swagatam” mobile app, as well as Delhi Airport’s official website (www.newdelhiairport.in). Passengers will be able to complete their forms up to three days before their scheduled arrival.

This initiative places Delhi Airport among leading international hubs such as those in Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, which already provide similar digital immigration facilities.

The introduction of the E-Arrival Card follows the earlier roll-out of India’s first “Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP)” at Delhi Airport in June 2024. Together, these initiatives mark a new phase in creating more seamless and secure travel experiences for both international and domestic passengers.

Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of , said: “We are delighted to join hands with the Bureau of Immigration to launch the E-Arrival Card facility for international passengers. This initiative reflects the Government of India’s commitment to delivering a world-class, hassle-free travel experience while promoting sustainable practices. By digitising the arrival card process, we are enabling faster clearances, shorter waiting times, and greater convenience to enhance the overall passenger experience.”

With the launch of this facility, foreign travellers arriving in India can look forward to a streamlined process that prioritises convenience, sustainability and efficiency.
