Delphi World Money has acquired an equity stake, along with management control, in Ebix Travels Private, a company within the Ebix Group that provides online travel services.
The acquisition represents Delphi’s diversification beyond financial services into the travel and tourism sector. By combining its RBI-authorised foreign exchange and remittance capabilities with Ebix’s established travel services, Delphi aims to create an integrated platform covering airline bookings, luxury experiences, curated holidays, and MICE.

The company plans to pursue operational integration, cross-sell financial and travel products, and expand through digital platforms.
The transaction also aligns with broader industry trends, where financial services companies are leveraging digitalisation and regulatory expertise to move into adjacent markets. Delphi’s roadmap includes strengthening its stake in Ebix Travels, investing in technology-driven platforms, and building long-term enterprise value by aligning travel with financial solutions.
The strategic move is positioned to enhance customer experience across booking, travel and forex services, while contributing to the evolution of an integrated travel-finance ecosystem in India.
