FAITH elects new office bearers unopposed for 2024-26 term, ET TravelWorld


The Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH) held its elections for the post of Office Bearers on 10th December 2024 in New Delhi. The elections saw the unopposed election of key board members, who will serve a two-year term from 2024 to 2026.

At the elections, Puneet Chhatwal was reelected as the Chairman. Other office bearers elected are Ajeet Bajaj and Ajay Prakash as Vice Chairman, Rajiv Mehra as General Secretary and Kanwarjit Singh Sawhney as Treasurer.

FAITH represents 10 national associations in India—ADTOI, ATOAI, FHRAI, HAI, IATO, ICPB, IHHA, ITTA, TAAI, and TAFI—along with its cause partner AIRDA. The Federation’s primary aim is to provide a collective voice for India’s tourism and hospitality sector, working to address industry challenges and help achieve the sector’s growth targets in alignment with governmental goals.

Rajiv Mehra, General Secretary of FAITH, thanked Homa Mistry, the Returning Officer for the elections, for ensuring the smooth conduct of the process. Mehra further expressed his appreciation for the active participation of all involved in the election process, contributing to its success.

In his statement, Mehra, on behalf of the newly elected office bearers, committed to working cohesively to foster the continued growth of the tourism and hospitality industry.

He reaffirmed their shared dedication to fulfilling the vision of the Honourable Prime Minister, with a particular focus on meeting the ambitious targets set for the sector. He emphasised that the team would work closely with all stakeholders to achieve these goals, ensuring the industry’s progress and global competitiveness.

The FAITH office bearers’ election marks an important moment for the tourism and hospitality sector, reinforcing the Federation’s role as a key player in shaping policy and advocating for the growth and development of India’s tourism industry.

The results were declared by returning officer Homa Mistry and the above candidates were elected unopposed . The elections were held at Ginger Hotel, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi.
