Finally, A New Dodge Charger With a Hemi V-8

The new Dodge Charger might not have a V-8 engine (yet), but there’s still one way to get the latest muscle car with a Hemi. Today, Dodge debuted the 2025 Dodge Charger Hustle Stuff Drag Pack—a purpose-built drag car with a supercharger V-8 under the hood.  

The car wears the model’s latest styling, featuring carbon-fiber versions of the gas-powered Charger’s hood, doors, front fascia, and hatch. The added carbon makes the Hustle Stuff 100 pounds lighter than the previous Challenger Drag Pack.  

Under the hood, Dodge upgraded the supercharged 354-cubic-inch, or 5.8-liter, V-8 engine with the new GEN III aluminum Hemi engine block, new H-beam connecting rods, Diamond aluminum pistons, a forged crankshaft, and a lightweight billet supercharger tensioner.   

It comes with a Coan Racing XLT three-speed automatic transmission with a high-performance torque converter. Dodge says the Charger is capable of sub-eight-second elapsed times. The car gets its name from the Mopar Hustle Stuff catalog from the 1970s.

The Charger also has new suspension geometry, with a strengthened four-link rear setup and a Mark Williams Enterprises 9.0-inch rear axle with a 4.30:1 final drive ratio.  

Options include a Lightweight Engine Component Package, which features a Blackbird front cover and an external oil pump kit, as well as a rear anti-roll bar. There’s also a Data Package that includes a data logger, a Racetech Lightweight Carbon Seat Kit that cuts an estimated 20 pounds, and a Driveline Lightweight Kit that saves 7.0 pounds and comes with a carbon driveshaft.  

The Dodge’s standard color is Knuckle White, but there are 18 other color choices, including B5 Blue, Frostbite, Go Mango, Plum Crazy, Sinamon Stick, and Sublime. There are also graphics packages available.

Dodge is producing only 50 of these, which it has built for NHRA Sportsman racers and is NHRA-approved for Factory Stock Showdown competition. It has an SFI 25.5/7.50 ET NHRA-certified chromoly roll cage, Sabelt lightweight SFI-certified seats,  Sabelt SFI-certified safety harnesses, and a window net.   

Each one will start at $234,995, which doesn’t even include the destination fee. You can reserve your 2026 Charger Hustle Stuff Drag Pack starting today, October 31. If you are one of the 50 to buy one, and one of the first to earn a NHRA Factory Stock Showdown event win, you will also get a $26,000 payday from Dodge.
