Here’s Your First Look at the 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee is nearly here. To get the buying public excited, Jeep’s released two teaser images of the refreshed SUV, showing off an updated fascia and a revamped interior.

Overall, the 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee shares much of its front-end design with the outgoing SUV. We see a wide, short slatted grille connected to horizontally shaped headlights, equipped with new eyebrow-shaped daytime running lights. The lower bumper has a bit more going on, with a body-colored split between the grille and new chrome accents.

The cabin shares much of the same layout for 2026, but there are some notable changes. The infotainment screen has been updated, and now sports two physical knobs on either side. The climate control section has been trimmed to a single row of buttons resting just below the screen, with a new cubby area underneath. The nifty row of controls above the screen, as well as the passenger display, have been retained.

In all, this is much more of a refresh than a revolution. Like before, Jeep says the 2026 Grand Cherokee will be offered in standard two-row and L-badged three-row body styles. The plug-in hybrid 4xe trim will also return for 2026. Jeep hasn’t said anything about powertrains, though we suspect the aging V-6 could be dropped in favor of Stellantis’s turbocharged Hurricane straight-six.

Jeep will continue building the 2026 Grand Cherokee at the company’s assembly plant in Detroit, Michigan, according to the brand. Production should start later this year, followed by first deliveries to dealerships.

There’s no word on pricing for the 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee right now. The current model starts at $38,490 including destination, for a base, rear-drive trim with the 293-horsepower V-6. If the Grand Cherokee gets Hurricane power as standard going forward, expect starting MSRP to jump.
