Hilton has announced the debut of Spark by Hilton in Asia Pacific with the opening of its first two properties in India, marking a significant milestone in the global expansion of the value-focused hotel brand.
The launch includes the opening of Spark by Hilton Bengaluru Marathahalli Outer Ring Road and Spark by Hilton Goa Calangute. The development follows Hilton’s strategic agreement with Olive Hospitality to establish 150 Spark by Hilton hotels across India over the coming years.
Introduced globally in 2023, Spark by Hilton has emerged as one of Hilton’s fastest-growing brands, catering to travellers seeking quality accommodation at accessible price points. The brand currently has more than 240 operating hotels worldwide and nearly 230 properties in development across markets including the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.
The 82-key Bengaluru property is located in Marathahalli, one of the city’s major technology and commercial districts. Situated near business hubs such as Embassy Tech Village, Eco World, Salarpuria Softzone and Helios Tech Park, the hotel is positioned to serve corporate and MICE demand. The 64-key Goa property is located in Calangute and targets leisure travellers, group bookings, corporate retreats and travel trade business.
Zubin Saxena, senior vice president and regional head, South Asia, Hilton, said: “The modern Indian traveler is evolving rapidly, with guests increasingly seeking branded stays that deliver quality, convenience and consistency. Spark by Hilton addresses that need directly, and our partnership with Olive Hospitality gives us the platform to move at the pace this market deserves.”
For the Indian market, Spark by Hilton has incorporated localised features designed to enhance guest convenience. Complimentary breakfast offerings include DIY dosa stations, while additional amenities include self-service chai carts, fitness facilities, in-room dining options at selected hotels and vending machines stocked with travel essentials. The properties also offer digital check-in, Digital Key access and Hilton Honors mobile app integration.
Andrew Ling, regional head, focused service and all-suites brands, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said: “Spark by Hilton was created around a simple belief: travelers should not have to compromise between value and a quality stay.”
Kahraman Yigit, co-founder and CEO of Olive Hospitality, said: “We believe Spark by Hilton has the potential to redefine what value-driven hospitality looks like in India.”
Following the first two openings, additional Spark by Hilton hotels are planned in destinations including Jaipur, Nashik, Mathura, Pune, Rajkot and Hyderabad, further expanding Hilton’s presence in India’s growing mid-market hospitality segment.
