Indonesia has introduced a mandatory new digital platform, the All Indonesia app, to simplify and speed up border entry procedures for all international travellers. From 1 September 2025, the app consolidates immigration, customs, health, and quarantine forms into a single system, easing arrival processes at major airports and seaports.
Currently launched at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, Jakarta, Surabaya, and Batam Port, the app’s use will become compulsory at all Indonesian international points of entry by October 2025. This integrated system replaces several older protocols, including separate health and customs declarations previously submitted on multiple platforms.
Indonesia’s All Indonesia app has been rolled out initially at four major points of entry: Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Surabaya’s Juanda Airport, and the international seaport in Batam. This phased introduction began on 1 September 2025 to allow authorities to manage the transition smoothly and gather user feedback for optimisation.
The Ministry of Immigration said it aims to provide visitors with a more efficient, user-friendly arrival experience. The app enables travellers to complete all required declarations up to three days before arrival or upon landing. Once submitted, users receive a QR code which must be shown to officials at the border.
The All Indonesia app is free to use and supports multiple languages, including English. It is designed to accommodate all travellers, including families, older adults, and persons with disabilities, with provisions such as a dedicated clearance lane to streamline their arrival process.
For visitors from India and other countries, the app does not replace visa or electronic visa on arrival requirements, which must be arranged separately. Indian travellers should also note the mandatory Bali tourism levy of 150,000 Indonesian Rupiah, payable via the LoveBali website, app, or on arrival for those visiting Bali.
Travel agencies and tour operators are advised to encourage clients to download and complete the app well in advance of departure to avoid entry delays. Maintaining digital or printed copies of the QR code and travel documents is strongly recommended for smooth processing on arrival.
The government highlights that integrating immigration, customs, health, and quarantine forms into a single digital platform will reduce waiting times and paperwork at arrival points, improving the overall travel experience. The secure data handling in the app also supports Indonesia’s border protection and public health safety initiatives.
Following the initial rollout phase, the Indonesian government plans to extend mandatory use of the app to all other international airports and seaports across the archipelago starting 1 October 2025. This nationwide enforcement will ensure comprehensive coverage and streamline entry procedures consistently for all international visitors arriving in Indonesia.
