The Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) is excited to announce the launch of a revolutionary electronic visa system for Indian travellers, effective from January 1, 2025. This advanced digital solution aims to simplify the visa application process, making it faster and more efficient for Indian nationals. The introduction of the e-Visa system marks a significant milestone in Israel’s efforts to enhance tourism accessibility and strengthen its relationship with India.
The new e-Visa platform enables Indian tourists to submit their visa applications entirely online, eliminating the need for physical paperwork. This digital service offers a user-friendly experience, providing a quicker and more convenient method of applying for a visa from anywhere and at any time. The e-Visa application process is designed with simplicity in mind, featuring simplified documentation requirements, making it easier for individual travellers to visit Israel.
This new system is fully integrated with Israel’s Entry Travel Authorization (ETA) system, ensuring smooth processing and timely approval. While the e-Visa service currently applies to individual tourists, group visa applications will still be handled through traditional channels. The applications can be submitted via the official government portal at www.gov.il/en/departments/topics/eta-il/govil-landing-page.
This initiative highlights Israel’s commitment to strengthening its tourism ties with India, reflecting the growing importance of the Indian market to Israel’s tourism sector. The introduction of this e-Visa system aligns with Israel’s ongoing efforts to enhance the travel experience for international visitors and improve efficiency in the country’s entry procedures.
By launching this innovative e-Visa platform, Israel continues to prioritise accessibility for Indian tourists, providing an effortless visa experience while maintaining high standards of security.
