Mumbai International Airport observed a total of 4.36 million passenger traffic in April 2024, showing a growth of 9 per cent year-over-year. The growth was 42 per cent compared to April 2022 and 9 per cent compared to April 2023.
CSMIA saw a total of 26,870 ATMs in April 2024. This included 19,892 domestic ATMs and 6,978 international ATMs. On 14th April, there was a record high single day traffic with a total of 156,793 passengers.
Total bags processed at CSMIA during April 2024 were recorded at 3.47 million. This marked an 11.61 per cent year-on-year surge compared to April 2023, which had 3.11 million bags processed.
Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad are the top three domestic destinations that have been experiencing the highest passenger traffic from CSMIA. Dubai, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi are still the top choices for international travel.

The airport’s steady growth in domestic and international passenger numbers solidifies its position as a leader in the country’s aviation industry.In April 2024, the airport experienced a total of 26,870 Air Traffic Movements (ATMs), with 19,892 being domestic and 6,978 international ATMs. This number represents a 24 per cent increase from April 2022 (21,597) and a 5 per cent increase from April 2023 (25,477). On April 14, the highest passenger traffic movement for the month was recorded, with 156,793 passengers passing through CSMIA – consisting of 113,540 domestic and 43,253 international movements.
In April 2024, Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad were identified as the top domestic destinations for CSMIA. At the same time, Dubai, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi continued to be the preferred international destinations. Overall, domestic airlines held the leading position with the highest market share in both domestic and international markets.
