The NBA is back. The 78th NBA regular season will tip off tomorrow, October 24. All the action begins with a doubleheader featuring defending champions the Denver Nuggets against the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns versus the Golden State Warriors.
The Los Angeles Lakers play the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena on opening night. With a replay of last year’s Western Conference Finals, this matchup has turned into somewhat of a rivalry in the off-season. The Nuggets beat Miami last June to become the league’s fifth different champion in the last five years. This season they hope to keep the Larry O’Brien championship trophy in Denver.
