New Ford Recall 180,000 Vehicles: Bronco and Ranger Seats

  • Ford has issued a recall for 179,698 vehicles for seat bolts that may loosen or fall out.
  • The recall affects the 2024-2026 Ranger and Bronco.
  • The issue is related to the supplier performing a torque check on the bolts before the adhesive had cured.

Ford has issued a recall for 179,698 vehicles. Certain Ford Broncos and Rangers could have front seat height-adjust pivot link bolts that may loosen or fall out of the pivot joints.

The recall affects the 2024-2026 Ranger and Bronco. According to the recall report, the issue was caused by a supplier that initiated a torque check process on the bolts before curing was complete, which inadvertently “disrupted the curing of the adhesive patch on the threaded fastener.”

This can allow the pivot bolt to loosen over time and eventually dislodge from the joint. This new recall isn’t Ford’s first related to seat bolts. In October 2025, the automaker recalled 163,256 2021-2023 Broncos for the same issue.

Ford continued to monitor vehicles produced between 2024 and 2025 and confirmed in March that the number of warranty reports related to the issue was increasing. The automaker says it is aware of 60 warranty claims and zero reports of accidents or injuries.

Ford will fix the problem by removing the front seats and inspecting the bolts. If any bolt fails inspection, the automaker will replace it. Owners may experience loose, squeaky, or rattly seats.

Motor1’s Take: Secure seats are essential to safety, and we are glad Ford is fixing this issue.
