Visa applicants across India will see changes in the locations of key Schengen visa application centres beginning January 2026, with relocation announcements covering both New Delhi and Mumbai.
In the national capital, the Schengen Joint Visa Application Centre is set to move from its current premises at Shivaji Stadium Metro Station to a new facility at 27 KG Marg. The transition will take place in phases, starting January 12, 2026, and will be implemented mission-wise to ensure continuity of services.
For missions including Croatia, Denmark, Malta, Finland, Iceland, Slovenia, Norway and Sweden, the last date of operations at Shivaji Stadium will be January 9, 2026, with applications being accepted at the KG Marg centre from January 12. Passport collection for these missions will continue at Shivaji Stadium until January 16, after which all deliveries will shift to KG Marg from January 19.
Another group of Schengen missions — Belgium, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Malta (MES) and the Netherlands — will cease operations at Shivaji Stadium on January 16, 2026, and begin functioning from the new KG Marg location from January 19.
To ease the transition for applicants, a complimentary courtesy transfer service will be provided for a limited period. Applicants who report to the earlier Shivaji Stadium location during the transition phase will be assisted with transportation to the KG Marg centre.
Separately, applicants in Mumbai applying for an Austria visa will also need to take note of a change in address. With effect from January 2, 2026, the Austria Visa Application Centre in Mumbai will relocate to Urmi Axis Building, Second Floor, behind Famous Studio, opposite E Moses Road, Mahalaxmi (West), Mumbai 400011.
Applicants visiting the centre on or after January 2 are required to report to the new Mahalaxmi address for application submission, biometric enrolment and passport collection. No services related to Austria visa applications will be offered at the previous location beyond this date.
Visa facilitation services for Schengen countries in India are managed by VFS Global. Applicants are advised to carefully review appointment letters, official websites and communication channels for updated address details before travelling to submit applications.
The relocations come amid sustained demand for Schengen visas from Indian travellers and are aimed at improving operational efficiency and applicant experience at upgraded facilities.
