Saudi has launched Package Visa, a new digital initiative that integrates tourist visa applications with travel bookings, simplifying the process for international visitors planning trips to the Kingdom. The initiative is being introduced through qualified travel and tourism service providers across selected international markets before a wider rollout. It forms part of Saudi’s broader strategy to improve travel accessibility and enhance the visitor experience through digital services.Package Visa allows eligible travellers to complete visa applications alongside booking flights, accommodation and other travel arrangements through a single integrated process. Visitors can also include events, activities and tourism experiences within their travel package, reducing the need for separate bookings. The launch builds on Saudi’s existing visa reforms, which include the tourist e-Visa, visa on arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa. According to the Ministry of Tourism, these initiatives contributed to Saudi welcoming more than 29 million inbound visitors during 2025.The programme is also designed to support travel and tourism service providers by enabling them to offer integrated travel packages, simplify customer journeys and encourage longer stays through bundled tourism experiences.Package Visa will initially be available only through qualified travel and tourism service providers that meet defined service standards and provide round-the-clock customer support, ensuring a seamless travel experience for visitors.Commenting on the initiative, His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Saudi Minister of Tourism, said, “As Saudi’s tourism sector continues to grow at pace, Package Visa reflects our commitment to making travel to Saudi more seamless for visitors. By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel experience. This initiative also strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem and supports Saudi’s position as an increasingly accessible global destination.”The introduction of Package Visa represents another milestone in Saudi’s ongoing tourism transformation, with the Kingdom continuing to invest in digital solutions that improve accessibility and support its ambition of becoming a leading global tourism destination.
