Scenic launches incentive to mark new ‘Angela Rippon’s River Cruises’ series | News

Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has launched a new trade incentive to win a river cruise on the Danube.

The incentive coincides with the airing of the first episode of the new four-part ‘Angela Rippon’s River Cruises’ documentary, filmed onboard Scenic and starting at 8pm on May 9, on Channel 5 and via streaming.

To be in with a chance of winning, travel agents need to make a new Scenic river cruise booking between May 9 and June 6.

The winner, who will be selected at random after the closing date and contacted by the Scenic trade team, will join an eight-day Danube cruise, departing this summer.

‘Angela Rippon’s River Cruises’ airs over four consecutive weeks and follows Angela as she travels in ultra-luxury along both the Danube and Mekong. Each episode is one hour.

On the Danube, Angela travels on the 169-guest Scenic Amber through Budapest, Vienna and along Austria’s Wachau Valley, before reaching southern Germany, where she experiences the local towns, delicacies and centuries of history.

On the Mekong, Angela sails on the 68-guest Scenic Spirit to explore Cambodia’s temples and riverside villages, reflecting on its history and conservation, and discovers Vietnam’s bustling waterways, markets and traditional crafts.

The series was produced by JetSet TV and marks Angela’s 60th anniversary as a reporter and presenter.

Jonathan Davies, head of sales at Scenic Group, said: “This incentive is all about sharing the excitement of ‘Angela Rippon’s River Cruises’ with our trade partners in an engaging and rewarding way. As viewers experience Angela’s incredible journeys along the Danube and Mekong rivers, we want agents to feel inspired by the destinations and ultra-luxury experiences on offer.”

For more information, agents should contact their local sales manager or email [email protected].
