The New Identity of OYO’s Parent Company Reflecting Global Growth and Premium Focus, ETTravelWorld

Oravel Stays Limited, the parent company of OYO, has announced its rebrand to PRISM, a corporate identity designed to reflect its expanded global presence and diversified portfolio.

Founded in 2012 by Ritesh Agarwal, OYO began by standardising small hotels in India to make affordable, trusted stays accessible. Over the years, the group has evolved into a global hospitality and travel-tech ecosystem spanning more than 100 million customers across 35+ countries. Its portfolio now includes budget hotels under OYO, premium offerings such as Townhouse, Sunday and Palette, vacation homes like Belvilla and DanCenter, extended stay residences such as Studio 6, and workspace and celebration solutions through Innov8 and Weddingz.in.

The rebrand underscores the group’s premiumisation strategy while reinforcing technology as its foundation. PRISM represents the clarity and diversity of the group’s spectrum of brands and services, while OYO will continue to remain its consumer-facing identity in budget travel.

“The transition to PRISM marks the establishment of a future-ready corporate architecture designed to align our expanding portfolio with our long-term vision,” said Ritesh Agarwal, Founder & Group CEO, PRISM. “PRISM is powered by a strong technology engine, deeper investment in data science and AI, and a commitment to helping our partners grow profitably while delighting customers worldwide.”

Partners welcomed the move, highlighting the company’s role in enabling independent hoteliers and asset owners to scale. “Over the past 7 years with OYO, now PRISM, I’ve expanded from a single property to 18 hotels. The partnership has been transformative—the team’s support and expertise have driven consistent growth,” said Ramu Nayudu, owner of Hyderabad-based SV Hotels Group.

Sam Patel, Founder & CEO of Natson Hotel Group, added: “I have been part of the G6 and now Prism family for over 20 years. While I own hotels with multiple other brands, over 60% of my total portfolio is with G6 Hospitality. I am excited for this new journey with Prism, and all the opportunities it will bring for asset owners in the USA and worldwide.”

The name PRISM was chosen through a global naming competition that attracted more than 6,000 submissions. It represents the group’s role in bringing together diverse hospitality experiences, from short stays and luxury escapes to technology-driven solutions, under one corporate umbrella.
