Honda just recently launched an updated version of the Fit in China—and it’s adorable. But hidden in the debut photos was something we weren’t expecting: a Fit race car concept with all the trimmings.
The race-ready Fit has a lowered stance, white wheels, and race tires with white lettering. It also has a slick livery with a hood scoop, canards, a front lip spoiler, new side skirts, and a big rear wing. It also appears to have a sport rear diffuser.

Honda provides zero details about the concept in its press release, which is unfortunate. Instead, Honda talks about its new production Fit for the region, which has a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable transmission. It’s only available in one trim and limited to 3,000 units.
We expect Honda’s race car concept also feature the same powertrain. The company doesn’t say, but this looks like Honda gave it mostly a visual makeover rather than a hardcore upgrade.
The Honda Fit first went on sale in the United States in 2007, four years after its launch in China—and it came with a manual gearbox. Honda pulled the model, which it calls the Jazz in other markets, from the US in 2020 due to declining sales.
Motor1’s Take: With the Honda Fit continuing to find success in other markets, it’s nice to see the automaker still embracing the car’s zippy personality. It might not have any powertrain upgrades, but the body kit is enough for us. Let’s go racing, boys.
