After what feels like years of rumors and spy shots, BMW has finally taken the curtains off its long-awaited M2 CS. The company showed first images of the car on Friday ahead of a full reveal expected next week—and we’re in love.
While BMW has yet to reveal any specs or performance estimates, we do get a good look at the car’s design. Like other CS models, the M2 CS has been given a smattering of aesthetic upgrades to improve looks and performance.

There’s a new front bumper with more scoops and wings, and a decidedly large ducktail spoiler out back. We can also see gold wheels—a signature of BMW CS cars—and red-painted brake calipers. Unlike the M3 CS and M4 CS, which have racing stripes, BMW’s given the M2 CS a subtle flat grey paint job. A single interior picture shows CS badging, bucket seats, and lots of red accents.
There’s no word on horsepower, though rumors from last year suggested the turbocharged straight-six under the hood would make as much as 518 horsepower. Those same rumors claimed the M2 CS would remain rear-wheel drive, setting it apart from its bigger, xDrive-equipped siblings. They also suggested the car would go automatic-only in the name of performance—sad, given the last M2 CS could be had with a stick shift.
We’ll know more next week when the 2026 BMW M2 CS is revealed next week. Stay tuned.
