Ferrari Luce EV: First Teaser Video

  • Ferrari teased its new Luce EV on video for the first time.
  • The video offers a brief glimpse of the front of the car.
  • The Ferrari Luce debuts next month.

A flash of light is just enough to reveal, if only for a few frames, the Ferrari Luce. Love it or hate it, Maranello’s first EV is already one of the most anticipated cars of 2026. And even the briefest glimpse on video gives a hint of what the final version might look like.

The teaser Ferrari released earlier this week shows almost nothing: just a shadowy silhouette, with the front lights stealing the show during a nighttime run. Yet there’s still plenty to get excited about.

What Will the Luce Actually Look Like?

That’s the million-dollar question—and no one has the answer yet.

The Ferrari Luce is expected to be a crossover, slightly smaller than the 196.9-inch Purosangue, though still far from tiny. Its 116.5-inch wheelbase should provide ample space for four passengers. The driver will face a completely redesigned dashboard by Jony Ive, the former Apple designer behind the first iPhones and iPads.

Distinctive lines and bodywork are expected to set it apart—not just from Ferrari’s first SUV (sorry, FUV)—but from the rest of the lineup entirely. This is a major debut for the brand, so bold choices make sense.

Enhanced screenshots from the teaser suggest the roof runs fairly level to preserve headroom, while the rear glass may slope slightly into a coupe-like profile. The hood looks unusually long—especially with no engine underneath—and extends downward in a way reminiscent of the Purosangue, giving the front end a sportier, more aggressive stance.

Built on a fully in-house platform, the Luce will use a structural battery to reduce weight and bulk. It’s expected to deliver more than 310 miles on a single charge—assuming you’re not constantly unleashing its roughly 1,000 horsepower from four electric motors (two per axle). Those motors are said to propel the new Ferrari from 0–62 mph in just 2.5 seconds.

Motor1’s Take: Although the video doesn’t give us much to work with, we’re curious to see what the new Ferrari Luce looks like when it debuts in just a few months.
