Polestar comes off the back of a solid 2025, with retail sales surging 34 percent to 60,119 vehicles. Today, the Swedish brand outlined its plans for 2026, which include starting deliveries of the 5 this summer.
By year’s end, a new version of the 4 “targeting a wider customer base by offering more versatility” will go on sale. While the statement is rather vague, this new flavor appears to have a rear window, and we’re told it’ll combine “the space of an estate and the versatility of an SUV.” In other words, it’s likely a lifted wagon.
In early 2027, the next-generation 2 will hit the market. Looking further ahead, Polestar aims to launch the 7 compact crossover in 2028. Arguably, the most exciting model in the company’s promised lineup is the 6 roadster. We originally saw it as the O2 convertible concept in 2022, when the company said it would launch the production version in 2026.
Sadly, that’s no longer happening. Motor1 reached out to Polestar to ask why the gorgeous electric roadster isn’t among the models featured in the latest teasers. Theo Kjellberg, Head of Corporate Communications, explained that the company currently has bigger fish to fry:
