Scoot’s First E190-E2 Enters Commercial Service with Flight to Krabi, Thailand

 Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore
Airlines (SIA), launched revenue flights with its new Embraer
E190-E2 fleet earlier today.

The first aircraft, named Explorer 3.0, departed
Singapore’s Changi Airport (SIN), bound for Krabi (KBV), Thailand.

The E190-E2 features 112 seats with a 29” pitch in a 2-2
single class configuration.

“We would like to congratulate Scoot on this momentous occasion,”
said Martyn Holmes, Chief Commercial Officer of Embraer Commercial
Aviation. “We are proud to see the modern and fuel-efficient E2
aircraft grace the skies over Singapore and Southeast Asia and
would like to thank all the involved stakeholders who worked
tirelessly to make this possible.”

Scoot’s second E190-E2 aircraft has already arrived in
Singapore and is in the final phase of preparations for
operations.

The remaining seven aircraft are expected to be
progressively delivered by the end of 2025.

“Today’s launch of our first E190-E2 would not
have been possible without the support of our partners and
unwavering commitment of all our staff to ensure a successful
entry into service,” said Scoot Chief Executive Officer, Leslie Thng.
“The E190-E2, with its modern operating capabilities and
fuel-efficient credentials, was a natural choice as we looked to
grow Scoot’s fleet. We are confident that with this new-generation
aircraft, we will continue to strengthen our presence in the
region, enhance our connectivity to non-metro destinations and
provide our customers with even more memorable travel
experiences.”

Explorer 3.0 will be used to
increase the frequency of Scoot’s flights to Krabi and Hat Yai
from seven to ten times per week for both destinations.
