Watch: R Ashwin bursts into laughter after Makhaya Ntini sings ‘kabhi kabhi mere dil mein’ for CSK fans | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: After India’s historic victory over South Africa in the second and final Test at Newlands, a video is doing the rounds on social media in which Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and former Proteas pacer Makhaya Ntini were seen exchanging light-hearted moments.
Ashwin requested Ntini to share a few words for CSK fans and the former South African pacer delighted everyone by entertainingly singing the popular Bollywood song ‘Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein.’
Ntini’s rendition of a song had Ashwin bursting into laughter that showed the excellent camaraderie between the two players.

Earlier, India clinched their first ever Test victory in Cape Town to draw level the two-match series 1-1 after suffering an innings defeat in the first match. The match also established a new record for the shortest Test in the history of cricket, spanning only 642 balls.
Ashwin on Friday was nominated for the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year award along with Australian players Travis Head, Usman Khawaja and England senior batsman Joe Root.
Ashwin ended the year as the top Test bowler in the ICC Rankings, taking 41 wickets at a striking average of 17.02 and recorded the most five-wicket hauls by anyone in Tests — four.
