Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company, reported impressive growth across Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia, and Africa (EMEA) in 2024. With 51 new hotels opened and 83 contracts signed, Wyndham added over 6,400 rooms to its portfolio, further strengthening its presence in the region. This expansion included notable developments in France, India, Spain, Turkey, and Portugal, underscoring Wyndham’s commitment to enhancing its footprint in high-demand travel markets.
The company’s growth in EMEA is a key part of its global strategy, contributing to a 5% year-over-year increase in its global development pipeline, now at a record 252,000 rooms. Additionally, the region saw a 10% increase in revenue per available room (RevPAR), further solidifying Wyndham’s leadership in hospitality. As part of its Owner First™ approach, the company continues to ensure long-term success for its franchisees, a crucial factor in its ongoing expansion.
Dimitris Manikis, President of EMEA at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, commented, “Our strong momentum in 2024 reflects both the strength of our brand portfolio and the growing regional demand. We continue to expand into high-growth segments such as extended stays and branded residences while reinforcing our presence in midscale and upscale markets.”
Wyndham’s focus on market diversification is particularly evident in Turkey, where it remains the largest international hotel company, with around 120 properties. Key openings include Days Inn by Wyndham Alanya and Wyndham Garden Cambasi in Ordu. In India, Wyndham’s growth continued with several Ramada and Ramada Encore openings, including new hotels in Ahmedabad, Srinagar, and Bhiwadi.
The company’s expanding branded residences portfolio is also noteworthy, with new developments planned in Spain and Greece, highlighting its long-term growth strategy. Wyndham’s commitment to providing value to its owners through innovative technology and a global network of loyal customers further solidifies its leadership in the industry.
