2025 Honda Odyssey minivan gains new tech, costs $43,315

  • Honda refreshed the Odyssey minivan for 2025 with tweaked styling and updated tech
  • The 2025 Honda Odyssey EX-L costs $43,315, which is $3,680 more than last year
  • The updated 2025 Honda Odyssey is the only minivan without a hybrid powertrain option

The 2025 Honda Odyssey reaches dealerships later this month with updated tech features, mild styling changes, and an effective price increase of $3,680 due mainly to the discontinuation of the previous EX base model. The EX-L is now the cheapest Odyssey trim level, and costs $43,315 with the mandatory $1,395 destination charge, Honda disclosed Monday. That’s $610 more than the comparable 2024 model.

For 2025, Honda’s minivan gets a new grille, a new front fascia with larger black fog light surrounds, and a new rear fascia with prominent vertical reflectors Honda says came off the discontinued Acura NSX. This marks the first styling update for the Odyssey since the 2021 model year, helping to freshen a vehicle that was last redesigned for the 2018 model year.

Every trim level gets new wheel designs as well, including machine-finished 19-inch wheels for the top Elite trim level. Solar Silver Metallic and Smoke Blue Pearl paint options are new as well.

Inside, a new 7.0-inch instrument cluster combines a digital display on the left with an analog speedometer on the right. The digital side defaults to a tachometer, but can also show vehicle information and settings for the Odyssey’s driver-assist features.

A standard 9.0-inch touchscreen replaces the previous 8.0-inch unit, with standard wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity and wireless phone charging as well. The optional rear-seat entertainment system features a larger 12.8-inch screen, while the console now houses the HDMI plug and a dedicated bin for device storage.

While the 2025 Kia Carnival adds a hybrid powertrain option alongside the all-hybrid Toyota Sienna and the Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid option, Honda sticks with a 3.5-liter V6 as the sole powertrain offering, driving the front wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission. Output is unchanged at 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque, as is EPA-rated fuel economy of 22 mpg combined (19 mpg city, 28 mpg highway).

Above the base EX-L, the Odyssey Sport-L adds darkened exterior trim and black leather upholstery with red contrast stitching for $44,465 with destination. The Touring is priced from $48,005 and adds front and rear parking sensors, built-in navigation, the rear-seat entertainment system, and third-row USB-C ports.

The top Elite grade costs $52,275 and includes two-tone perforated leather upholstery, cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, upgraded audio system, rain-sensing wipers, a hands-free power tailgate, and auto-dimming exterior mirrors.

The updated 2025 Honda Odyssey minivan goes on sale late this month.
