Aditya-L1 Solar Mission

India’s space agency, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), successfully launched its first solar mission, Aditya-L1, on Saturday, September 2, 2023. The launch took place at 11:50 am IST (06:20 GMT) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

Aditya-L1 is a solar space observatory that will be placed in orbit around the Sun-Earth Lagrange point 1 (L1).
