Korean Air Connects Cargo Booking System with DHL Global Forwarding

 Korean Air has connected
its cargo booking system with DHL Global Forwarding.

This is the first time the airline has connected
its booking system directly with a freight forwarder and allows DHL Global
Forwarding to book cargo on Korean Air flights directly from its
system, bypassing the need to access the airline’s platform.

The
integration enhances workflow efficiency by enabling real-time
data exchange between the airline and customers, facilitating easier
access to flight schedules and air cargo rates.

“We are excited to announce our direct booking
connection with our long-lasting partner Korean Air Cargo through
CargoWise,” said Max Sauberschwarz, Global Head of Air Freight at
DHL Global Forwarding. “This streamlines our internal processes
and enhances efficiency for our customers. This is another step in
our digital journey and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to
delivering value in air freight for our customers.”

With a fleet of 160 aircraft, including 23
dedicated Boeing 777Fs and 747-8Fs, the airline’s global network spans 111 cities in 40
countries, supported by a freighter network covering 47 cities in
28 countries.

The company owns and operates a
state-of-the-art cargo terminal of 100,000 square meters at its
main hub at Incheon International Airport (ICN), and has dedicated
cargo terminals in New York, Los Angeles, Narita and Osaka.

Korean
Air Cargo also operates the Cool Cargo Center in Incheon, a
specialized facility capable of storing and processing over 150
tons of fresh cargo, a key facility for cold chain transportation.
