As Bhaderwah in the Jammu region of Doda district witnesses an unprecedented surge in tourist footfall, drawing visitors from across the globe, the UT is now amping up its tourism game.
To meet the demands of tourists flocking to the region, the district has now turned focus to developing world-class infrastructure which includes new hotels, restaurants, improved road networks, efficient transport facilities, and a professionally skilled workforce.
Last week, the Ambience Group of Hotels commenced construction of its inaugural 5-star property in Bhaderwah. Located in the heart of Bhaderwah, the upcoming hotel is set to introduce a luxury property showcasing the region’s rich heritage.
According to the district officials, this major development in the tourism infrastructure is poised to usher in a new era in Bhaderwah’s hospitality industry and is expected to significantly boost the local economy.
“This property will undoubtedly boost tourism in Bhaderwah and create numerous opportunities for the local community,” said Vishesh Mahajan, DC of Doda, at the foundation laying ceremony of the site.
“It reflects the growth and development that Bhaderwah is experiencing. This establishment will not only cater to the needs of tourists but also contribute significantly to the economic growth of Bhaderwah,” he said.
This year has seen an influx of tourists to the region during mega events such as the Guldanda Winter festival, Asikini Bhaderkashi Utsav, International Yoga Celebrations at Jae Valley, New Year festival at Gatha Park, Youthon 2023 and more. Of late, Bhaderwah’s slopes and expansive grasslands, especially its wildflowers, Foxglove, have also piqued the interest of both local and international tourists exploring the valley.
This surge in visitors also underscores that Bhaderwah, with its rich geographical and cultural beauty, has the potential to become a top-choice destination for travellers worldwide.
