Paris Hilton is refusing to let commenters bully her son for his appearance. The 42-year-old is hitting back at the negative comments aimed at her son, Phoenix, after she shared photos of her and the 9-month-old last week.
The DJ took to Instagram to celebrate Phoenix’s first time in New York, where his mother was appearing on Tuesday night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “My precious angel baby Phoenix’s first time in NYC. ✨👱🏼♀️👶🏼🗽✨” Hilton captioned the gallery that featured photos of her cradling Phoenix on her lap as the duo smiled into the camera.
However, in addition to the many comments showing love for the mother-and-son duo, trolls also flooded the comment section with cruel jokes about Phoenix’s head.
In a TikTok video posted Friday, a creator called out the negative comments about the baby, whom Hilton shares with husband Carter Reum.
Addressing the questions about her son’s head, Hilton commented on the post, writing, “🥺😢There are some sick people in this world. ☹️ My angel is perfectly healthy. And yes, of course he has been to a doctor, he just has a large brain.”
Hilton took to the comments on another video defending Phoenix, writing, “People are sick. Thank you for the love, sis 💗”
Hilton and Reum welcomed Phoenix via surrogate in January. In May, Hilton celebrated her first Mother’s Day with a heartfelt tribute to her newborn son, and extended her celebration to “all moms out there,” noting they are “the glue that holds everything together.”
“So excited to be celebrating my first Mothers Day with my little angel baby Phoenix,” Hilton wrote on Instagram. She paired the caption with a collection of photos of herself and Phoenix, along with her husband and mother Kathy Hilton.
“Being a mom is the most incredible experience I have ever had,” Hilton continued. “It’s a love that cannot be put into words, a feeling that I never knew existed until I held my little prince in my arms. Watching him grow and learn every single day brings me so much happiness and fills my heart with so much love. There is something so special about being a mom, something that I never fully understood until I became one myself.”
Phoenix’s surprise arrival came just a few of months after Hilton revealed she was undergoing IVF treatments. “IVF is always a journey for everything but we’re so fortunate that we have lots of healthy embryos ready and waiting to be part of our Cutesy Crew!” Paris explained in November 2022. “As everyone knows I have an extremely busy work and travel schedule but nothing gets me more excited than becoming a mom in 2023!”
In March, Hilton told ET, “My favorite moments [of motherhood] are when he’s just laying on my chest and he’s looking into my eyes and my heart just melts and I just feel that this is just the most magical time in my life.”
During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week, Hilton opened up about her little guy’s recent milestones.
“Is this true his first word was ‘mama’?” host Fallon asked Hilton. “No, it was ‘yas,'” Hilton replied, teasing, “Yas, wonder who he got that from.”
“He is an amazing traveler, but this is his first time experiencing jet lag so he’s been up ’til midnight, 1 a.m,” the reality star shared, adding that Phoenix still considers her hit “Stars Are Blind,” to be his favorite song.
“Yes, he has amazing taste in music,” she gushed.
The icon’s reality show, Paris in Love, is also returning and will showcase milestone moments for the new mom, including telling her mom, Kathy Hilton, about baby Phoenix after he was born.
“Nobody knew about Phoenix besides Carter and I. None of my friends, none of my family, no one knew,” Hilton shared, saying she knew her mom wouldn’t be able to keep the secret.
The big reveal is featured on the show, but Hilton described the moment on the Tonight Show, saying, “I came in and I had Phoenix under a blanket. I said, ‘I have two surprises for you.’ The first I gave her a baby blue Chanel bag because, you know, who could be mad after getting Chanel? And then I said, ‘Here’s the second surprise.’ And the blanket came down.”
Though she didn’t reveal her mom’s exact reaction, Hilton did share, “It was emotional. It was such a special moment.”
Season 2 of Paris in Love premieres Nov. 30 on Peacock.
